The WGBY Chef’s Spearit Lunch is a multicourse dining experience with asparagus-themed dishes from five popular Pioneer Valley chefs.

In a private outdoor tent adjacent to the WGBY Asparagus Festival, you will sit down and dine on a menu “spearheaded” by the culinary talents of:

Each course will feature paired wines from State Street Wines and Spirits (Northampton). The cocktail reception will feature local artisinal malts from Valley Malt (Hadley). Dessert will be provided by UMass Dining's Yum! Bakery, using Flayvors of Cook Farm's special "Hadley Grass" ice cream.

Chef's Spearit Lunch at the WGBY Asparagus Festival

Lunch begins service at 1 p.m., preceded by a 12:30 p.m. reception. Hand-crafted artisinal malt beverages from Hadley-based Valley Malt and appetizers from Amherst-based University Club & Restaurant will be served during the reception. UMass Dining Pastry Chef Simon Stevenson will provide dessert.

The lunch is sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Hadley. Service is coordinated by Betse Curtis.

Proceeds benefit WGBY and public television in western New England.
