Connecting Point: Programming Internship
WGBY’s local program Connecting Point seeks a motivated, highly organized intern to assist with the production of this daily current affairs program. This Internship is open to students and individuals thinking about a career in broadcast television. Interns experience first-hand the operations of a local PBS broadcast facility.
Fall internships run from September through December
Spring interships run fron January through May
We do not offer summer internships
- Duties include but are not limited to, managing information for programs web site, assist producers with research and scheduling, assist with studio tapings, attend meetings and be involved with planning future programs.
- Interns must have good organizational, writing and computer skills and be able to work independently.
- We accept both full and part-time interns. Part-time interns are expected to work at least 20 hours per week. Work hours are generally 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, although hours may vary during certain times of the year.
- The intern position is non-paid and would begin in mid September and last approximately 3 months
