Chrusciki (Polish Angel Wings)

  • 7 egg yolks
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. Heavy cream
  • 1 jigger whiskey
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp. Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. Salt

Beat yolks and whole eggs in bowl until thick. Add sugar, cream, whiskey and vanilla. Beat well. Add all dry ingredients until well blended. Knead dough until it begins to blister. Roll thin, cut into strips 1 ½ x 5 inches. Make slit in center, pull end through to make a bow.

Fry in deep fat until gold; drain on paper towels. Cool; dust with powdered sugar.
