Image is of the front door at the Hinsdale and Anna Williams House in Historic Deerfield.

"I really like this painting for a number of reasons. First I think it is a really inviting image because of the little gated portion of the fence, it's open and waiting for you to approach the door. Then look at the glass above the doorway, it's just beautiful."

"I also really loved the shadows on the house. The shadows are a result of the high afternoon summer sun coming through a series of trees along the street. You don't see the trees, you just see the image of the trees through the shadows. I really like that imagery."
