This is the story of a man and his records. Paul Mawhinney was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Over the years he has amassed what has become the world's largest record collection. Due to health issues and a struggling record industry Paul is being forced to sell his collection.

Once Upon a Rooftop is a visual portrait of the families and individuals who live on the rooftops of mid-rises in Hong Kong. The inhabitants have no rights in terms of ownership or tenancy and yet are allowed to have water, gas, electricity and even postal addresses by the government.
