It's time to go crazy for coconut this week with Carla Hall, co-host of the Emmy-award winning television show "The Chew" and owner of her own Southern restaurant in Brooklyn. This week, Carla joins Ming in his loft to make her fragrant calaloo - a crab and coconut spinach soup - and cassava in coconut sauce. Then, Ming counters with a creamless watercress soup with honey apple salsa and coconut shrimp. Soup's On this week on Simply Ming.

Ming wraps up his tour of England in London where he connects with star French chef Daniel Galmiche at the iconic Gore Hotel's 190 Queen's Gate restaurant. Before they cook, it's off to the Valley Smokehouse outside Bristol where the chefs sample and source smoke fish including fjord trout. Then, back at the Gore, they prepare cocktails in Bar 190 which famously hosted the Rolling Stones' Beggars Banquet album launch. While chef Galmiche prepares a pan-fried steelhead trout, Ming makes a trout "pho" with lemon-ginger broth.

Ming is on a mission to taste the best of the English Riviera, bringing him to the scenic seaside town of Torquay. He meets chef Simon Hulstone, owner of The Elephant Restaurant in Torquay. Chef Hulstone has represented England in culinary competitions more than 20 times, twice in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or culinary contest. The two chefs head to the stunning Sharpham Estate to taste and gather their English countryside soft cheeses and regional wines.

This special edition of Simply Ming takes viewers out into the bush for a firsthand look at wildlife in Australia - kangaroos, koalas, and wallabies. They are everywhere as we explore Kangaroo Island in South Australia where we cook with chef Kate Sumner and our adventure guide Craig Wickham. Our ingredients are only found here - Australian marron, which is a kind of crawfish, and King George Whiting, an amazing white fish - all on the barbie! - on this special edition of Simply Ming.

DANA COWIN/Udon Noodle Soup. Today on Simply Ming, we travel across country borders and through time to explore a universal comfort food staple: chicken soup. Every culture has its own version and Ming shares his from childhood, a Wonton Noodle Soup. Food and Wine Editor-in-Chief, Dana Cowin, joins us in the kitchen and shares her trials and tribulations - and a secret ingredient - for her own Udon Noodle Soup. A childhood favorite you no longer have to ask mom to make.

This week on Simply Ming, Ming is joined by southern Chef Chris Hastings, who has three restaurants in Alabama including the hot & hot fish club and his newly opened Ovenbird. Chris prepares classic southern flavors with his creamy shrimp and grits. Then, Ming cooks Jook, a savory rice porridge, with a brown and white mixed house rice. Prepare your taste buds for east meets south.
