One unexpected stop along the way, Chinatown, to pick up some ingredients for this Francophilian feast. An amuse-bouche of toasted egg yolk with caviar and chives sets the stage for bouillabaisse, a traditional Provencal seafood stew.

On this episode of Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, Pete heads to Davidson, North Carolina to meet with the owners of the famous Kindred restaurant, chef Joe Kindred and his wife Katy. The three visit the award-winning Noda Brewing Company - home of the Hop, Drop 'n' Roll IPA - and the family-run Newtown Farm for organic vegetables. Together, they make a beautiful lakeside feast featuring classics like a crispy North Carolina oysters and shrimp roll as well as pasta and clams. From rooftop to rain in North Carolina, Moveable Feasthost Pete Evans is joined by the Lantern restaurant co-founders and siblings Andrea and Brendan Reusing to create an amazing local feast. The team visits the small Chapel Hill Creamery, known for its award-winning cheeses, and the sustainability-driven EcoFarm for its fresh, organic produce.

On this episode of Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, Pete Evans visits Portland, Maine a rugged foodie paradise. To help Pete today are two of Maine's premiere chefs, Rob Evans and Sam Hayward. First stop for ingredients the trio visits Matt Moretti at Bang Island Mussels where they learn the art of cultivating mussels. Later in the day Evan Strusinski joins Pete, Rob and Sam to go foraging around the area to find certain items for the meal. With their newly gathered ingredients...it's time to start cooking.

Take the scenic route to San Francisco as Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking trails through the Presidio, a national park at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Host Pete Evans travels to the national historic landmark to join Michelin star chef Dominique Crenn and Traci Des Jardins for a feast featuring the West Coast's freshest local produce and seafood - bass with artichokes barigoule, salmon with a classic beurre blanc and tarte tatin.
